At Paterson Public School, our classrooms and learning spaces are bright, welcoming, and designed to support every child’s learning. Our 3D printer has brought our Fairy Garden project to life, allowing students to design and create their own magical pieces. This hands-on project combines creativity with technology, sparking student interest while building important skills in design, problem-solving, and digital technology. It’s a wonderful example of how learning at Paterson Public School blends imagination with innovation.

Veggie Garden

Our Gardening Club is a thriving, hands-on space where students dig into the wonders of nature—literally! Open to all ages, the club gives students the chance to plant, grow, harvest, and care for a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. It’s more than just gardening; it’s about learning patience, teamwork, and the importance of sustainability. From composting and weeding to watching a seed turn into something they can taste or take home, students experience the full life cycle of a garden and have a lot of fun along the way!

Chicken Coop

Our school chook pen is a much-loved part of our outdoor learning environment, giving students the opportunity to connect with animals and nature in a hands-on way. Caring for our friendly chooks teaches children responsibility, empathy, and respect for living things. From collecting eggs to helping with feeding and cleaning, students are actively involved in the daily routines of looking after our feathered friends. The chooks also provide great conversation starters and links to learning across science, sustainability, and healthy eating.

Playground Equipment

Our playground is a vibrant and active space where children can climb, swing, slide, and explore! Designed to support physical development, social interaction, and imaginative play, our equipment offers something for everyone—from adventurous climbers to creative role-players. Whether it's building strength on the monkey bars, zooming down the slides, or creating games with friends, our playground encourages active, healthy play in a safe and inclusive environment. It’s a place where friendships grow, confidence builds, and energy is joyfully released!

Our Mud Kitchen

At our school, the Mud Kitchen is a favorite outdoor learning space where imagination, exploration, and messy play come to life! Designed to inspire creativity and support sensory development, the mud kitchen allows children to mix, pour, scoop, and "cook" with natural materials in a hands-on, play-based environment. Whether they're whipping up mud pies, making leaf soup, or collaborating on outdoor recipes, students are developing important skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, all while having lots of fun in the fresh air!

Sports fields for fitness and fun.

At Paterson Public School, we take pride in our strong sporting culture. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sports, developing skills, teamwork, and a love of physical activity. From school carnivals to zone, regional, and state competitions as well as PSSA, our students regularly achieve outstanding results and proudly represent our school. With opportunities in athletics, team sports, and physical fitness programs, every child has the chance to shine, stay active, and celebrate success.
