Our extra-curricular highlights

Debating and Public Speaking
Students at Paterson Public School develop confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills through public speaking and debating. They participate in classroom activities and have opportunities to compete in local and state competitions, building teamwork and persuasive skills along the way.

Sporting Opportunities
Paterson Public School offers a variety of sporting opportunities, including school carnivals for swimming, athletics, and cross country. Students can also participate in PSSA competitions, knockout tournaments, and a range of team sports. We encourage all students to get involved, promoting skill development, teamwork, and a love of sport.

Technology/3D Printing
At Paterson Public School, students have the opportunity to explore and create using our 3D printer. Through hands-on projects, they develop important technology skills, including design thinking, problem-solving, and digital creativity. These experiences help prepare students for future learning in STEM and encourage innovation in a fun and engaging way.

Creative and Performing Arts
Paterson Public School offers a vibrant Creative Arts program, giving students opportunities to shine in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. From whole-school performances to Education Week celebrations and events like Starstruck, students are encouraged to express themselves, build confidence, and develop their artistic talents in a fun and supportive environment.

Trips and Excursions
Our students take part in exciting trips and excursions that enhance learning beyond the classroom. Highlights include the Great Aussie Bush Camp, where students build resilience and teamwork.
